My Korean Morning & Night Skincare Routine

I haven't posted about my skin routine here in my blog but I have been following the 10 Step Korean Skincare for more than 2 years now so I want to share it to all of you what are the products I use and how I use them in particular order. 

My Morning Skincare

Why I went for Korean Skincare? I was just browsing in youtube I think one day and found a certain video about Korean Skincare and from then on I was hooked! I used to watch Korean dramas when I was in college and I was really amazed on how glowing and flawless the skin of the Korean girls are. I wanted to achieve that look but I was not full on right away. I started with few products and then the whole shebang after a few months since I really noticed great results and improvements on my skin.

I've learned that Koreans are really particular with their skincare. They are really known for having such flawless and glowing skin that's because on how they take care of their skin hence all the steps they follow. They also invent the latest trends in skincare or makeup since their technology are much more advance than any parts of the world with it comes to creating innovative products especially with it comes to beauty. After watching alot of videos and reviews online, I took the plunge and completely change my skincare game. I didn't use a lot before but I remember using French Pharmacy products which were also good especially removing my pimples I highly recommend the Avène Cleanance Cleansing Gel. This was my hero and savior when my face was full of acnes. 
It totally eradicated everything! I also used their Emulsion and spot cream from this line.

So about my current routine. I'm really happy I'm doing now double or even triple cleansing which is really good for removing makeup that's why I always use micellar water first the cleansing oil and a facial wash. The toner is also important and essence which will increase the absorption of the products you are going to apply after. I also enjoy using facial sprays for added hydration and the thermal water. I've learned that from a French woman since it helps to remove the traces of calc(kalk in dutch) on your face because we really have hard water here in Europe that's why a Thermal water is a must for me ever since. Serums, Ampoules and Face oils are also great additions to your routine if you're not lazy since they are packed with great ingredients which your skin will benefit from. Moisturizer and eye cream are really important as well since I have really dry skin around my eye area and the eye cream helps to make it look smoother and looks brighter. And since I have very dry skin, I surely need a moisturizer everyday because my face is prone for dry patches. And I love sleeping packs, I use them alternately with my moisturizer since it's really hydrating for me and gives a nice glow on my skin the following day. Scrubs and exfoliators I don't use everyday but twice or thrice a week the most. Sheetmasks are really great as well and I don't need to do the whole routine anymore when I use it. After the toner & essence I apply the sheetmask and leave it on for 15 minutes and then I'm good since sheetmasks are packed with serums & ampoules already as well. There are alot of great sheetmasks available in Korea but my fave brands are Mediheal & Papa Recipe Bombee Honey Mask.

I know this is too tedious to do because of all the steps but I don't really mind since I have the time and it gives me great results. My skin has never been this good! I'm happy that I can achieve the Korean glow I have been wanting to have and it just gives me more confidence and I love how my skin looks now. I love the skincare community and it just feels good to take care of your skin and when you see all your hard work pays off. It was not a drastic change but it took me years to achieve my skin now so you need to be patient and consistent. Of course you should also lead a healthy lifestyle to achieve not only your best skin but your best you! 

If you are still doubting if you need to follow or even bother to check Korean skincare, go for it! you will not regret it. Just start some few steps and if you are having fun with it then you can add more. I am having fun doing it and enjoy it a lot that's why I sticked with it until now. I'm really happy I took this path and there's no turning back now.
