Clinique Powder Pop Flower Bronzer & Highlighter Review

I rarely get excited nowadays with new releases but when I saw these beauties, I knew I want to have them. I badly needed a new bronzer and highlighter anyway since I am getting fed up with the same products I've been using for 2 years. I have not bought any new ones for a year or I may have from e.l.f but I didn't like it. I am just using the same ones over and over again so I decided to get these beautiful products from Clinique.

I think I first saw them on instragram and fell in love right away. The only shop that sell them as of the moment is Clinique Belgium so I'm glad I found them because normally we are late with new releases from makeup companies especially if it is non European brand. I got also 20% off because it was my first time to order from their Belgian website. 

I have been using some clinique products before. I remembered I did love their mascara and lip product. I also ordered their cheek palette from 2 years ago which I haven't been using so now that I have these two, I'm inclined to use that palette more. 

I love the packaging since it is see through so you don't need to guess what are you picking up. You just see it right away. It has a simple clear sleek packaging which is just perfect because the main focus is the product inside. And you will never miss them because they have this very stunning embossed flowers design which is the main selling point of these products. Who can resist them? Each has 9 grams each which is really generous and would last me for a long time. Each cost for  €32,50 but since I have 20% discount with my first order with them, I only paid €26 each.

This bronzer has a satin finish. When swatched, I see some tiny flecks of glitters but on my face I don't really notice them. When using a small brush to contour my nose it is opaque but when used with a big synthetic brush, it applies sheer. I need to build it up a couple of times which is not a big deal to me since I love it more when it is sheer so you don't over apply it as well. It is buttery to touch. They are pressed hard on the pan as well which I know they are not as delicate as they look. The embossing is not easily damaged which I appreciate so I can enjoy looking at them longer. They are a joy to look at. There's no scent at all which I love as well. They said both of the products are allergy tested. 

This highlighter is a beautiful champagne shade. I first thought I won't get it since it didn't look so good when I saw someone swatched it but boy I was wrong. I thought it would look frosty on me but this is so pretty highlighter on the high points of my face. It just gives a lit from within kind of effect. Not unnatural/artificial looking at all! I'm so glad I decided to get it as well even though I was unsure if I would like it.

These swatches does not give justice with how beautiful they look in person. This photo is not really capturing how they look like. I'm sorry for that. I will try to take a picture or a video using my phone and post it on instagram. But you can also watch my video below to see them in action when applied on my face because you will appreciate them more there than these photos. 

I hope with this picture of mine you will see how they would look like on the face. The highlight just gives a beautiful glow on my face and the bronzer is just right shade to contour my face. It gives a natural shadow on the parts where I normally contour my face.

MY VERDICT:

I 100% recommend them! I love how they apply and look on my face. They just apply so smoothly on my face. Pigmentation and formula are just right for my own taste. Love that they are longlasting especially the highlighter on me. I can't say enough good things about them. If you hate scented products, you will love them since they are unscented. They are a bit pricey but you get a lot of products each. It's a great value for your money. They are truly one of my best discoveries this year. I'm getting excited again doing my makeup. They sparked a joy in me that I haven't felt in a while with makeup products.
