I just got introduced with clean beauty fairly recently. There was a video I stumbled upon that opened my eyes to a different approach with it comes to beauty products. A nontoxic, ethical and cruelty free side of the beauty industry. And the clean beauty movement is getting popular since I noticed a lot of webshops are having dedicated page for clean or natural products. And I see now that there are a lot of webshops that only sells clean beauty products as well.
They are considered "clean" since they use natural ingredients that are safe and nontoxic to the body. They are on the higher end spectrum because of the ingredients they use and how they source them makes the production of these products expensive but in exchange you get a higher quality and safer products.
There are a lot of controversies as well that some brands present their products clean but well in fact they still use like talc and other ingredients that considered toxic like parabens, Phthalates, etc. I can't talk much about them now since I haven't searched good enough to say my piece with it comes to these ingredients. But I did avoid or try to avoid anything with parabens because I have read somewhere that they can cause health problems such as cancer. And now I learned that talc and asbestos are minerals that form together which mining talc can be contaminated with asbestos that as we all know now, is very harmful to our body.
Ilia takes pride of their products that they are talc free. They see skincare and makeup as one. They believe in spf as well because without it the skin saving ingredients deteriorate quickly when exposed to light. They also learned that not every natural ingredient is good for the skin, nor is every synthetic ingredient is bad. They also use recycled materials for their packaging to be more sustainable.
I really love the vision and mission of this brand and I want to know and try more not only their brand but also other clean beauty brands as well. I will try to be more cautious with what I use on my face since no one wants to put something on or in their body that are toxic.
I got four products but I really searched and watched a lot of reviews before deciding because they are very pricey. These are the products that stood out to me and wanted to test the waters first to see if I would like them or not. Three are newer release and the concealer with the old packaging have been around for awhile now.

I love this product so much! The packaging is really beautiful yet simple. All of their products are very streamlined and perfect for the women who wants to have a simple and natural looking makeup that does not take long to achieve. The dropper style of this product is very handy and mess proof for me. I love how it is so hydrating and soothing to the face and how it feels like I am applying a serum because of the consistency. It feels like a serum because it is thick and quite sticky. I like when my products are like that because it feels more hydrating on my face.
Made with skin loving ingredients that makes my skin looks glowy and healthy. For me, applying with the fingers is just the best way to do it because it blends so nicely on my face and it is like a form of massage for me at the same time. This applies better when I used my primer and sunscreen and it can cling on to the dry patches if I was not able to scrub my face for days. It smells amazing for me and even if it is a light coverage product, I still love it because I want my makeup to look like it is still my skin but better. I tried this brand because of my hunt for a tinted moisturizer kind of product that I can just use for everyday that is done without no time. And this is the perfect product for it since since it is quick and easy to apply, like applying a skincare and then done. A highly recommend this especially to those with dry skin.

This has the older packaging and box. I love this product as well. The consistency is just so creamy and blends in no time. I love applying it with my fingers and melts into the skin so beautifully. The applicator is a thin and flat kind of wand which get just enough product that I need and works fine. This shade is a bit darker for my skintone and might be great when I get a tan this summer (if I ever go out). This is the best concealer that I've tried so far. It does not cling to my fine lines and it is just as hydrating as the Skin Tint.

When I got this shade, I was afraid and regretful because it looks so light and won't show up on my face. But when I tried it for the first time, I was pleasantly surprised that it showed up really beautifully and natural on my face. This blends like a dream and the shade just gives me a nice bronzed look that also can act as a contour as well. I love the packaging of this. The mirror is big enough for me to see my whole face and I love the smell of this as well, because it smells like a skincare.

I love this highlighter so much! It's the perfect lit from within effect that is not unnatural or too in your face kind of highlight. The formula is beautiful and it just applies so seamlessly on my face. The best highlighter I've tried so far.

Overall, I am in love and so happy with them. They are worth every penny I paid on them. They are amazing formula and they feel and look so great on my face. I never thought clean beauty would be as great as this and I can't wait to try more products from this brand. I love their stand, their mission and how they think how makeup should be. This is what I want to put on my face and what I look for now with my makeup products. Nontoxic and natural as much as possible. This brand really switch me to become more conscious with what I put on my face without sacrificing the quality or performance of the mainstream makeup brands. I am a minimalist kind of makeup wearer as well and these products give me what I need and so much more. The glow, the quality and the performance are there and it is so much good for your face and body as well. You can't go wrong with these products and I'll be trying more for sure.
